Submittal Review Engineer/Staff Water Engineer
About The Position
A large part of this role will support professional engineering services during construction; this includes but is not limited to construction observation, review of submittals and shop drawings, responses to request for information (RFIs) and permit closeouts. You will be expected to review QA/QC submittal reviews and RFI response comments from junior staff to ensure contract compliance. Liaise with Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients to ensure effective communication on project matters. Exercise judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
- Minimum 4 years' of experience in engineering AND EIT Certification
- Detail oriented and ability to provide technical guidance and work independently as needed
- Advanced research, data gathering, technical writing and analysis skills
- Developing skills including technical, project management, relationship management, sector expertise and commercial awareness
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, time management and communication skills
- New York PE License
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects and provide technical guidance to other team members.
- Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, construction inspection, asset inventory and plant operations information, process troubleshooting and optimization
