Ignite is seeking an experienced professional to lead and drive the transformation of Submarine Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) modernization efforts. This position will play a critical role in overhauling policies, accelerating capability insertion, and implementing agile modernization strategies for the Submarine Force.

Requirements

  • Able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Comprehensive understanding of submarine program office and Type Commander lines of responsibility.
  • Extensive prior experience (7-10 years) in government contracting specific to the Submarine Force.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Submarine Modernization lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with the network and roles of Warfare Centers supporting Submarine C4I lifecycle.
  • Understanding of submarine service locations and typical C4I maintenance performed at each (e.g., public/private yards, homeports).
  • Expertise in submarine-specific aspects of C4I modernization, including pier connectivity and testing during availability periods.
  • Proficiency with the SOVT (System Operational Verification Test) process for submarine C4I systems.
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments and represent viewpoints to senior Submarine Force stakeholders, including Major Program Managers, TYCOM N4/N6 staff, and FO/SES decision makers.
  • Hands-on, deckplate-level experience in submarine modernization activities (e.g., TEMPALTs).
  • Personal experience with Submarine Shore communications enterprise, such as Broadcast Control Authorities.
  • Comfort working in dynamic organizational environments, especially during transitions such as from PEO to PAE structure, and leading change initiatives.
  • Prior experience contributing to staff efforts at the GS-15, SSTM, and SES levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 7-10 years supporting submarine C4I programs.
  • Fluency in the submarine C4I lifecycle.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • Lean Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities

  • Lead the initiative to reform Submarine C4I modernization processes, focusing on policy updates, rapid capability integration, and the development of more flexible modernization strategies.
  • Identify supply chain vulnerabilities, such as single-source dependencies.
  • Develop risk mapping and mitigation strategies using alternative supply methods, including advanced manufacturing and obsolescence engineering.
