About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Level Engineer and/or Program Manager to serve as a subject matter expert in support of the Golden Dome for America Test Office. Support the development and execution of test strategies, objectives and plans. Serve as the primary interface between the GDA Director of Test and PAE Fires GDA elements. Serve as the primary interface and integrator between the GDA Director of Test and Air Force GDA elements. May be asked to lead working groups or oversee efforts of other senior staff, interagency staff, and potentially international partner staffs. This role requires strong technical expertise, management/leader skills, attention to detail, and the ability to synchronize with stakeholders, while communicating results effectively to senior leaders at OEMs and across the Joint Services.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security clearance is required to perform this work.
  • Must have a current driver's license.
  • Strong background in test engineering methodologies, including test planning, instrumentation, data collection, and post-test analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute detailed test plans, procedures, and safety reviews in accordance with DoW and Army T&E standards.
  • Experience supporting test readiness reviews (TRR), safety reviews, and independent test assessments.
  • Proven experience coordinating with DoW test ranges and working within established range safety and data collection requirements.
  • Hands-on technical expertise with launcher and/or missile system performance evaluation.
  • Experience with data analysis, data reduction, performance assessments, and generating clear technical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary T&E team in a fast-paced acquisition environment.
  • BA/BS degree; MA/MS degree closely related technical discipline from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of ten (1O) years of experience conducting or managing program testing (developmental, operational, or live fire) within the DoW or a defense-related environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in science or engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with system-level test and evaluation of integrated air and missile defense architectures, including interoperability assessments across sensors, launchers, and battle management systems.
  • System experience with vehicle autonomy.
  • System-specific experience on Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies; in addition, Multiple Launch Rocket System Family of Munition (MFOM), Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), Tomahawk, PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (MSE), Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC), or similar systems is desired.
  • Experience evaluating lethality, reliability, survivability, and integration with supporting elements including power, vehicle autonomy, network, data links, and command and control.
  • Familiarity with modeling & simulation (M&S) tools and their integration into live test campaigns for pre-test predictions and post-test validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or contribute to integrated product teams (IPTs), failure investigations, anomaly resolution, and root-cause analysis following test events.
  • Experience planning test programs in alignment with Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF), Middle Tier of Acquisition (MTA) pathways, and Army T&E policies/regulations.
  • Strong background in data visualization, advanced analytics, or specialized instrumentation for missile flight testing.
  • Prior experience briefing senior DoW leadership or test community stakeholders on test outcomes, risks, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute test plans and procedures for system evaluations, including ground and flight testing.
  • Support the development and review of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), test objectives, and test requirements.
  • Coordinate with DoW test ranges, laboratories, and external agencies to plan and conduct live fire and developmental test events.
  • Monitor test execution, collect and analyze test data, and prepare technical reports and recommendations for program leadership.
  • Assess system performance across lethality, survivability, reliability, and integration with supporting elements.
  • Identify risks, issues, and gaps in test planning or execution, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Provide technical input to acquisition and system engineering processes, ensuring test data informs capability development and decision-making.
  • Participate in and potentially lead working groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), technical interchange meetings, and after-action reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings summarizing test activities, outcomes, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, test engineers, and others in the Test & Evaluation network to ensure holistic program-level assessments.
  • Make executive level recommendations to the Test Director regarding testing operations and planning/budgeting.
