The role of the Subject Matter Expert is to provide advanced Tactical Data Link support services to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Consolidated In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA). Provide technical support services for emerging Fleet Technical Assist (FTA) requirements.This position will work out of the Chesapeake, VA area. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office

Requirements

Must be a U.S citizen.
Ability to successfully pass any employment background checks and/or drug testing.
Must have a secret security clearance as a minimum at the time of employment.
Ability to read technical drawings.
Six (6) years of hands-on experience with the following Tactical Data Links systems:
AN/TSQ-214(V) Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI).
Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT).
Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS).
AN/USQ-125(V) Link-11 Data Terminal Set (DTS).
Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS).
Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS).
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Travel Required.
Ability to successfully pass any employment background checks and/or drug testing.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to include troubleshooting, system checkout, system configuration and training in support of the following:
Casualty Reports (CASREPs)
Combat Systems, Command, Control, Communications and Computer Readiness Assessment (C5RA)
Deploying Group Systems Integration Testing (DGSIT)
Inspection & Survey (INSURV)
Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA)
Combat Systems Assessment and Training (CSAT)
C4I System of Systems Operability Test (C4I SOT)
System Grooms

Be willing to travel 25% - 45%.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Providing expert input on Tactical Data Link system documentation.
Providing technical support during onsite visits to US Navy ships and shore sites.
Providing distant support to US Navy ships and shore sites.
Providing On-the-Job (OJT) to US Navy personnel.
Providing technical inputs for drawing packages.
Providing Daily Situational Reports (DSRs).
Research and analyze data.
