About The Position

HOW A SUBCONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Administers subcontracts through pre-award planning, subcontract award, post-award administration, and closeout Documents all actions in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company policy Supports new business activities including issuing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Teaming Agreements (TA), soliciting subcontractor proposals, negotiating subcontractor pricing, and evaluating proposal submissions Performs analysis on proposed subcontractor pricing to ensure price reasonableness Provides advice and interpretation of contract requirements Team player who is willing to jump in and help others Subcontracts Administrators meet critical deadlines and is willing to at times work additional hours to meet mission needs The ability to quickly move from one action to another with a strong memory and attention to detail Generate reports or responses to data calls on subcontract activity as required Serves as a liaison and facilitator between the program team and the subcontractor regarding contracting issues Initiates and maintains a network of communication with GDIT internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers Participates in special projects as required May coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionals WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree. In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in contracts, subcontracts administration, supply chain or large procurement activities.
  • Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience in contracts, subcontracts administration, supply chain or large procurement activities
  • Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Effective administrative and organizational skills both written and oral.
  • Ability to juggle multiple RFPs and subcontracts status and actions.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to operate and negotiate independently and escalating when necessary.
  • Ability to read local counsel opinions and apply to GDIT and the program needs and constraints.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to juggle a volume of different activities on any given day.
  • Customer service skills, attention to detail, and responsiveness and highly productive in high stress situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned subcontracts, including FAR, DFAR, and CAS.
