About The Position

This position will be supporting the Aegis Guam program and managing the radar and facilities major subcontractors on that contract. Applicant should have extensive major subcontract experience and managing major hardware procurements is a plus. THE WORK As the Subcontract Manager, this position will be responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule, and technical performance on various complexity levels. Leads multifunctional subcontract management teams. Holds procurement delegation, creates and signs supplier agreements and purchase orders within established authority. Leads the development of subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions subcontracts in support of development and production contracts. Prepares bid packages, conducts bidders' conferences, develops evaluation criteria, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions including price, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes subcontract packages, prepares awards and administers resulting subcontracts and required change activity. This position must interact collaboratively within the MDCS supply chain team for radar portfolios and take ownership of material base, sourcing strategy, support production/capture activities, sustainment and spares procurements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education with 5+ years related experience in Supply Chain Management (Procurement), Program Management, Finance, Material Cost Estimating, Operations or Engineering
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and cross functional teams.
  • Strong Project/Program management experience and ability to execute complex project which may require customer engagement.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARs and DoD procurement policies and practices.

  • Experienced in proposal execution
  • Experience issuing RFQ/RFP/RFIs
  • Demonstrated experience in program startup including program baseline, supplier kickoffs, negotiation, develop domestic and international supplier subcontracts/agreements
