About The Position

Amentum Nuclear Projects and Consulting is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction. We are currently executing numerous contracts, delivering work that is critical to our clients’ missions across a wide range of functional areas. We are seeking an action driven and team‑oriented Subcontract Administrator with working knowledge of Federal Construction Contracting, Subcontract Administration, and Procurement requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated group of Contracts and Procurement professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional service to our Government client in the Idaho Falls, ID area. Responsibilities will include: Provide oversight and support for subcontract management and procurement activities across Engineering, Program Management, Procurement, and Construction Management. Ensure effective execution of subcontract management and procurement practices from project initiation through closeout. Execute work efficiently and adapt quickly to changing priorities while consistently meeting team deliverables. Coordinate and prioritize work to meet deadlines and performance expectations. Perform subcontracting or paralegal-type functions in support of Construction, Mechanical Equipment, Excavation, General Services, and related scopes within a Federal Contracting environment. Complete assignments of varying scope and moderate complexity while following established policies, procedures, and contractual requirements. Work effectively in a team-oriented environment with shifting priorities, including the ability to work extended hours as needed and approved to support project schedules. Understand policies, procedures, and contractual requirements well enough to contribute to document revisions and provide training to team members. With the guidance of senior staff, manage cradle‑to-grave procurement administration for federal and/or commercial construction-related procurements, including reviewing requisitions, preparing RFPs, conducting bid evaluations, negotiating terms, preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, and administering complex services subcontracts. With the guidance of senior staff, support proposal preparation with subcontract cost justification and consent packages to customer. Demonstrate a proactive and forward-looking approach to subcontract development and administration. Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and home office management regarding project-related issues. Split time between the Idaho Falls office and the project site in Scoville, ID (approximately 50 miles from Idaho Falls), as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline with 2 or more years of relevant experience - OR- 5 years’ relevant experience and High School Diploma/GED in lieu of Bachelor's is acceptable
  • Working knowledge and experience soliciting, awarding and administering Contracts and Subcontracts
  • USA citizenship (dual citizens allowed)
  • Above average skills for attention to detail and wordsmithing
  • Above average writing skills need to be logical and succinct
  • Strong Computer skills: Excel, WORD, Microsoft Outlook email
  • Performs duties with minimal supervision and resolves issues with direction
  • Self-motivated to initiate tasks when the need is identified
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely

Nice To Haves

  • Contracting/Subcontracting responsibilities administering large EPC/ECM projects (>$25 million)
  • Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) working knowledge and experience
  • Working knowledge with Commercial procurement guidelines and regulations are a plus
  • Industrial Construction experience is desired
  • Experience administering large complex Federal Construction type contracts/subcontracts
  • Previous experience working closely with legal counsel to bring resolution to issues on contracts/subcontracts experience is a plus
  • Person already residing a commutable distance from the SFHP project office near Scoville, ID
