Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand, leg or foot activated valve to stuff sausage into casings or molds.
  • Position on sticks and hang product to trees or trucks.
  • Check and set proper stuffer controls.
  • Select and position proper stuffing horn.
  • Soak and untie bundles of casings when necessary.
  • Service stuffers by bringing vats of meat to stuffer to dumpers and unloading meat into stuffer.
  • Place casings on horns of stuffers.
  • Operate stuffing machine, hang product, service stuffers, clean buckets, all part of rotation of jobs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.
