About The Position

The EP Students Worship Associate will serve to create God-honoring, engaging, and high-quality worship environments for the High School and Junior High worship services at the EP campus on a weekly basis. This will be done by exhibiting the Grace Church culture and “style” of worship while recruiting, equipping, and mobilizing student and adult volunteers to facilitate these services. The Associate will also help identify, develop and equip students to serve in the greater church, i.e., NXT Up, The Co, and Sunday mornings. The EP Students Worship Associate will serve in the following responsibilities: Create and lead (vocally and instrumentally) a worship program that can be executed at both EP NXT High School and EP NXT Junior High services. Work with Creative Manager and Student Director to develop engaging services for NXT High School and NXT Junior High (including songs, announcements, transitions, lights etc.). Carry Grace church’s worship values, style, quality and processes into Student worship experiences. Identify, recruit, develop, and shepherd students on the music and production teams within NXT High School and NXT Junior High, both on and off the stage. Plan and execute weekly worship team rehearsals, ensuring that each music and production team member has ample ability to rehearse prior to services. Plan and execute quarterly “team nights” with other student worship associates to encourage cross-campus community and further development of students. Manage and oversee the use of Planning Center Online for EP NXT by regularly updating processes, arrangements, charts, resources and team schedules with a high level of communication and professionalism. Manage and oversee the use of ProPresenter for EP NXT by regularly updating lyrics, background assets, sermon slides, service assets, etc. Produce and manage all track software needed for programming, i.e., Ableton Live, Playback, etc. Provide collaboration of creative ways to use the student worship platform to build bridges from the church into the community, working closely with NXT Creative Manager, Co Worship Associate, and Grace Worship Director. Assist the Worship Arts team in executing weekend services and special events as directed. (On average 1 or 2 Sundays every 6 weeks). Provide worship in Kid’s Ministry Sunday morning programming on average once a month, in collaboration with the Kid’s Worship Associate. Provide worship at strategic seasonal and non-seasonal all-church events, camps, retreats, and conferences as needed. Strategically partner with our Worship Department for support, coaching, and resourcing as needed, with a minimum of twice per year, having Worship staff observe rehearsals & worship services to provide feedback & assist in development. Have a working knowledge of all media, production equipment, and procedures within EP NXT spaces and possess a desire for continued growth in all areas of improvement. Coordinate with Creative Manager for maintenance and replacement of instruments, technology, and band gear within NXT spaces. Assist the Creative Manager in the execution of other services as assigned, i.e., ReGen and GK Programming. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Trained and proficient in vocal & instrumental music with the desire for continued growth.
  • Gifted worship leader, sensitive to the leading and promptings of the Holy Spirit.
  • 3+ years’ experience in worship leadership.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of student and adult volunteer singers, instrumentalists, and production techs.
  • Working knowledge and experience in AVL technology, Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, and Ableton Live, with the willingness to develop skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate, build teams, innovate, and work independently as well as with a team.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
  • Displays a servant heart, positive demeanor, as well as a humble and approachable spirit.
  • Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20).
  • Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity while representing Grace Church and its beliefs/values.
  • Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church.
