About The Position

This role involves assisting library patrons and working on special projects as assigned. The primary duty is staffing the Service Desk, but the worker may also collaborate with other library departments on various projects.

Requirements

  • This position involves direct interaction with students, faculty, staff and visitors
  • We are looking for workers who possess good customer service skills, while maintaining a professional manner with peers
  • Worker must be reliable
  • Accurate
  • Attentive to detail
  • Self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Primarily staffing the Service Desk but also my work with other departments in the library on special projects.
  • Checking in and checking out patron materials
  • assisting with the computers and printer
  • helping patrons locate items
  • sorting
  • shelving
  • shelf reading
  • processing the daily shipments of materials
  • helping students connect with a librarian for research help and other duties as assigned.
