Student Worker - Recruitment Ambassador - BC
About The Position
The Baylor Recruitment Ambassador Center provides frequent and ongoing contact with prospective students to the University all throughout their college decision-making process. Recruitment Ambassadors make connections with prospective students and guide them through the admissions process, as well as answer any questions they may have about Baylor. This position is remote with a required 3-day training process. The starting wage is $10.00/hr Recruitment Ambassadors must love sharing their Baylor experience and what led them to choose Baylor as they were researching their college options!
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 semester completed at Baylor
- A sense of personal responsibility, resilience, and accountability
- Willingness to work a minimum of 8 hours per week. The fall and spring hours are Sunday 2-6pm and Monday-Thursday 5-9pm. Summer hours are Monday-Friday from 4-8pm.
- Additional hours available Monday-Friday 9am-4pm after 8 hour minimum is met.
- The preferred candidate is an undergraduate student. Eligible graduate students that have completed an undergraduate degree at Baylor may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to recruit prospective students from the point of inquiry to matriculation.
- Work each shift toward making 18 or more completed calls or over 100 attempted calls with prospective students while writing thorough notes for the admissions counselors.
- Support Undergraduate Admissions in special projects and events on campus.
- Assist with incoming calls to Baylor Undergraduate Admissions office.
- Assist prospective students and families through live chat as they browse the Baylor Admissions website.
- Follow up with any situations that may require additional information or help from either the student supervisors or the Recruitment Ambassador Director.
- Seek to consistently expand knowledge of University’s academic and extracurricular programs to be able to counsel students within their area of interest and provide correct information regarding such areas.
- Complete all other assignments given by the student supervisors or director in order to support Baylor Undergraduate Admissions.
