About The Position

The Office Assistant works under the supervision of HHPR Office Manager and helps faculty and staff with front office-related tasks. Other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the department full-time staff. Ideal applicant would have experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Canva. They would also be professional in all their interactions, able to handle multiple tasks, have good communication skills, flexibility, ability to work independently and have a proactive approach to work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist HHPR faculty and staff to provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere to students and visitors
  • answer phones and take messages
  • check for and distribute departmental mail, restock office supplies in workrooms including printer/copier paper, assist with keeping various public areas organized and well-maintained, assist with creating department social media posts, regularly update bulletin boards around the building, help office staff set up departmental events, occasionally run errands across campus to deliver documents as needed, provide general office assistance and support, greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information, maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information, assist with various projects, activities or tasks as needed
