Purpose: Play role in Grand Canyon Beverage Company’s mission on campus by working as a Grand Canyon Beverage Company Catering Team Member throughout campus. Please note: this position is not a traditional barista position in our shops. Please do not apply if you are wanting a barista position. Responsibilities Related to Purpose: Ensures that actions promote appropriate GCBC and GCU culture, values and mission. Maintains a calm and appropriate character during periods of high volume/high stress and continues to uphold customer service standards during these times Anticipates client needs and acts accordingly to ensure client/event needs are continually met Communicates all necessary information to Managers. Constantly contributes to a positive team environment. Ensures that exceptional customer service is consistently given to clients. Follows operational policies and procedures for high-volume food service standards at all times. Helps to maintain a clean and organized environment. Provides quality, bulk beverages for all customers in a timely manner while also following all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Maintains regular and consistent attendance. Qualifications: Must be able to work flexible hours, including but not limited to, early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays – up to 20 hours a week Must be willing to work all GCU campus events Ability to maintain a professional attitude in an extremely high-volume environment Ability to learn and problem-solve quickly Ability to understand and carry out any instruction and ask for clarification if needed Strong customer service and hospitality skills Ability to work as part of a team and individually Ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments on campus Passion for GCU and GCBC Education: Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student. Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
