About The Position

The Student Worker for Inclusive Collections works with library staff and other campus partners to develop and promote inclusive library collections. The Worker works closely with the Research & Instruction Librarian for Music and Fine Arts to build and maintain the Database for Historically Underrepresented Composers.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to navigate musical scores
• Strong research skills

Responsibilities

• Use approved resources to assign correct demographic tags to composers
• Compile information about scores by these composers
• Contribute ideas for improving and maintaining the DHUC, including user-experience testing
