About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking to hire a student worker for Facility Support and Maintenance for the Equestrian Center and NAES research stations. The position will help in supporting the facilities daily maintenance and equestrian event support. This position is based at the Valley Road Equestrian Center directly next to the UNR main campus but includes duties at all NAES locations.

Requirements

• Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of facility
• Landscape support- weed and lawn control
• Building/clubhouse upkeep
• Sprinkler systems for indoor and outdoor arenas
• Riding arena care- includes dragging weekly
• Aid in equine specialty events; shows, rodeos, clinics
• Preparation for horse events and shows
• NAES locations- engage in livestock studies and field preparations
