About The Position

This position is reserved for Federal Work Study (FWS) students only. In a student employee capacity, may assist in working with external community service partners. Support the mission, purpose, and goals of the YMCA, while performing the duties listed below. Coordination/implementation of ALL accurate and timely communications/social media content updates with Camp Leadership for all Camp programs Actively and enthusiastically solicit input from Camp staff through conscientious and proactive interaction to ensure timely, quality, and impactful communications which result in program and Camp goals being met Coordinates the creation of Camp communications and calendars with Camp leadership for the development of all Camp programs Aligns digital content with the YMCA’s marketing and communications strategies and develops related web content and email initiatives with a direct impact on Camp programs and registration Compiles reports and provides regular updates to Camp leadership on the progress of strategic plans Job Description: Work with local organization(s) or community partners Provide excellent customer service as a representative of the University May assist with planning, organizing, and implementing community services or programs May assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community projects May contribute to developing and maintaining good relationships with internal and external partners May serve as a source to provide information about resources and assistance related to community program(s) or service(s) May serve to enhance outreach for the greater Waco community Ensure confidentiality of all pertinent information May prepare and present information in a group or workshop setting Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission Ability to comply with University policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management skills; effectively manage multiple projects with deadlines in an efficient manner
  • Ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a focused and timely manner; proactively addressing issues as they arise
  • Experience working independently and following directions, with minimal supervision
  • Independent self-starter with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources and make appropriate decisions
  • Ability to remain composed under stress and take responsibility for delivering on personal and organizational goals and commitments
  • Proficient in MS Office, desktop publishing software, Daxko Engage, Marq, Facebook, Instagram
  • Working knowledge of WordPress with an understanding of HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge of how to prep artwork for both web and social media purposes
