Student Worker - Demographic Discovery Intern

About The Position

Do you like to organize and troubleshoot? We are seeking a Legacy intern to support our efforts to evaluate, design, and implement a project to ensure our alumni and prospect’s demographic information is current and accurate. This is critical work at this time due to our launch of the university’s fundraising campaign and our transition to cloud-based data platforms.

Requirements

  • You must be a Legacy student to apply.
  • Dependable and a self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills
  • A curiosity for analyzing and exploring data
  • An ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word, and Google Docs and Sheets.

Nice To Haves

  • database skills are a plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a database-wide demographic clean-up project, with special focus on emails and phone numbers.
  • Document the processes and outcomes
  • Train staff on implementation
  • Work between a traditional relational database and various cloud-based systems to develop and implement their demographic project design.
