About The Position

This position is responsible for parking vehicles for events taking place on campus and directing and controlling traffic flow during these events. Responsibilities also include helping out with security for concerts, assisting guests, and monitoring property and/or crowds of people during various activities and events.

Requirements

Must have the ability to work with people in a positive respectful manner.
Must maintain consistant and reliable attendance.
Must be able to work outside in a variety of elements such as heat, rain, ice and snow.
Must be able to remain calm in situations of verbal abuse from either guests or students.
Must maintain confidentiality of any and all information received.

Nice To Haves

Any traffic control experience such as fire police or internships with police departments is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Direct traffic for events
Control traffic flow during events
Helping with security in a college venue for concerts
Answer or assist guests' questions
Operate college fleet vehicles
Monitor property and crowds during various activities and events such as soccer games
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
Assist with handing out parking permits
Assist in counting parking spaces
Assist in guarding doors at concerts that may hold personal items or expensive equipment
Other duties as assigned
