As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an educational environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for anything unusual.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unauthorized persons or unusual situations, reporting findings according to protocol.
Communicate clearly and professionally with campus staff, visitors, and students to provide assistance and information as needed.
Document activities, observations, and incidents through written reports and/or electronic systems as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Support access control procedures by verifying identification and granting access to authorized individuals.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and promptly report hazards, maintenance issues, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
