Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol in Abilene, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist shoppers, tenants, and staff with friendly communication and quick support. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and partner with on-site teams with professionalism and integrity. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, exterior perimeter, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and requesting additional support when needed.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to property management and/or appropriate contacts per post orders.
- Complete routine reports and incident documentation, and communicate key observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
