SUBSTITUTE TEACHER TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated, in accordance with district policies, and procedures on a day-to-day basis. 2. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function. WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
