About The Position

Presbyterian is excited to offer an internship opportunity for student sonographers specializing in pediatric care. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a clinical setting, working alongside experienced sonographers and healthcare professionals to support diagnostic imaging for pediatric patients. The Student Sonographer Intern will gain hands-on experience in performing vascular and echocardiographic procedures under the direct supervision of licensed and registered cardiac or vascular sonographers. This internship provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a clinical setting, develop technical skills, and build professional competence in cardiovascular ultrasound.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Cardiovascular Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing pediatric ultrasound examinations under the supervision of licensed sonographers.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to departmental protocols.
  • Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for pediatric patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the imaging team to support workflow and patient care.
