Student Shop Technical Assistant
About The Position
Provide general technical support. Responsibilities Check in with shop supervisor before every shift Self motivated individual Assist in the Set Shop with Organizing and tool safety Protocol Practice shop cleanliness, sweeping floors, keeping paint room clean, keeping tools and tool room and shop clean on a daily basis. Assisting Scene shop Supervisor at all times when work is being done Maintain safety on productions at all times in the shop. Lifting heavy equipment is a MUST assisting students with building, assembling flats and painting on a as needed basis. Proper Personal Protective Equipment will be enforced The job requires that all the cutting tools be cleaned after every use and at the end of your shift. You will also learn how to bleed a compressor for all our pneumatic tools and keep it running smoothly You will learn the different types of wood we use in the shop, so you can better help students that are inquiring about their upcoming project. You will also learn our painting protocol
Requirements
- Prior experience is recommended but not necessary, willing to learn and the ability to learn the support process.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
