About The Position

Assist faculty member with descriptive, exploratory, or experimental research as well as publication actives, data collection, data management and/or data analysis Student Researcher works under the direct supervision of the faculty member. Pay: $15.00 per hour Schedule: flexible up to 25 hours per week Major Responsibilities: Participate in research projects at Ivy Tech, IUN, or both Participate in weekly (Virtual via Zoom and on-campus) meetings, ethics training, and readings: discuss scientific literature and basic laboratory tasks Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases Facilitate gathering of materials and data for various projects, reports, manuscripts, and presentations Obtain informed consent from research subjects Perform qualitative analysis and/or quantitative analyses of data using computer software as applicable Verify the accuracy and validity of data entered in databases including correcting any errors Prepare tables, graphs, fact sheets, and written reports summarizing research results Edit and submit protocols and other required research documentation Develop and implement research quality control procedures Research topical areas as requested including the completion of comprehensive literature and web searches The above list of duties is not an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned. Requirements
