About The Position

The Student Pathways Coordinator (Dual Enrollment & Transfer) supports the growth, persistence, and successful transitions of dual enrollment and transfer students through strategic enrollment practices and student-centered services. This position enhances academic planning, strengthens transfer pathways, and improves access to higher education opportunities, contributing to increased enrollment and student success at Blackfeet Community College (BFCC). This role serves as a key member of the Admissions team, coordinating transfer processes for incoming students with prior college credit and supporting students transitioning to four-year institutions or other programs. Responsibilities include assisting with admissions operations, application processing, recruitment, outreach, and student support services. The Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for dual enrollment and transfer students, providing accurate and timely information regarding admissions, transfer requirements, and degree pathways. This position collaborates closely with internal departments and external partners to create seamless student experiences. Additionally, the Coordinator works in partnership with the American Indian College Fund's Cultivating Native Student Success initiative to support grant goals, strengthen transfer initiatives, and improve outcomes for Native students. Collaboration with faculty, staff, Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and regional and national partners is essential to advancing transfer pathways and meeting institutional enrollment goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in a related field
  • Over 2 years of experience working with transfer students in higher education
  • At least 2 years of experience with transfer pathways, articulation agreements, or transfer student transcript evaluation
  • Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an office environment
  • Ability to present to both small and large groups, in person and virtually.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Admissions and registrar policies, procedures, and regulations;
  • Knowledge of Tribally Controlled Community Colleges; Community Colleges and Higher Education institutions
  • Transfer advising practices in higher education.
  • Knowledge of office management and administrative processes
  • Exhibit and use positive public relations skills and quality customer service.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and the ability to learn systems such as Jenzabar, JICS, DocuSign, and Canva
  • Ability to deliver presentations to small and large groups
  • Strong customer service and public relations skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in high-demand environments

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Preferred experience and knowledge of: Working with tribal nation communities and knowledge of American Indian/Alaska Native culture, and/or experience with TCUs

Responsibilities

  • Process applications and student records to determine eligibility for admission, including evaluation of transfer credits and alignment with program requirements.
  • Review transcripts and collaborate with partner institutions to ensure accurate transfer credit evaluation.
  • Follow up with students regarding required documentation and application materials.
  • Provide personalized support to prospective, incoming, and outgoing dual enrollment and transfer students from entry through completion or transition.
  • Assist with admissions functions, including application processing, filing, recruitment, and outreach efforts.
  • Advise students on degree pathways, core requirements, and transfer options.
  • Coordinate with Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Success to streamline the enrollment process.
  • Support dual enrollment and transfer students through timely communication and service.
  • Promote and coordinate campus visits, outreach events, and recruitment activities focused on dual enrollment and transfer populations.
  • Collaborate with Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), community colleges, universities, and American Indian Centers to strengthen transfer relationships.
  • Assist in developing transfer pathways, articulation agreements, and stackable credential opportunities.
  • Coordinate and participate in dual enrollment and transfer initiatives across departments and partner institutions.
  • Engage with the American Indian College Fund and program officers to support grant-related goals and collaboration efforts.
  • Lead and support dual enrollment and transfer-related projects and initiatives.
  • Track, collect, and report data related to student enrollment, persistence, and transfer outcomes.
  • Contribute to required grant and institutional reporting.
  • Complete training and utilize student information systems (e.g., Jenzabar) to support admissions and registrar functions.
  • Processing expenditure documents and ordering supplies.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all communications and processes.
  • Perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner.
