About The Position

Link Center Student Office Manager The Link Center University of Wisconsin-Superior Position Description, Updated August 2025 Working Title: Link Center Student Office Manager Business Title: Student Supervisor, Level III Office Location: Swenson Hall, Suite 1061 Reports to: Outreach Program Manager Position Summary: The Link Center serves as the central access point at the University of Wisconsin-Superior for career services, academic service-learning, internships, undergraduate research, voter engagement, strategic partnerships, employer relations, and regional outreach. This position will work collaboratively with Link Center staff by providing program support, event coordination, and excellent customer service to fellow students, faculty, staff, and community partners. This position will lead office student employees with administrative-related tasks and aid with Link Center events. Located at the front desk of the office suite, the Link Center Student Manager will support professional staff and field office inquiries of fellow students, faculty, staff, and community members. Number of open positions: 1-2 (work study preferred) Rate of pay: $14.00/hour Hours per week: A minimum of 10 hours/week

Requirements

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student at UW-Superior.
  • Must be able to commit to approximately 10 hours per week.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Enthusiasm to positively represent UW-Superior and The Link Center.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Exhibits self-motivation, responsibility, dependability, integrity, confidentiality, and time management.
  • Must be able to work with a team and independently.
  • Provides appropriate verbal, nonverbal, and written communication.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a timely manner, and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and prepare for program meetings, workshops, and ongoing events.
  • Support Link Center events/programs with area middle/high school students, current UWS students/faculty and community members by giving tours, serving on student panels, etc.
  • Represent UW-Superior & the Link Center as core events/programs on and off campus
  • Welcome and assist Link Center visitors.
  • Assist students with Link Center resources; troubleshoot and navigate requests.
  • Provide general assistance to Link Center professional staff.
  • Maintain confidential information and protected office operations.
  • Serve as receptionist for the office by greeting walk-ins and planning for visitors.
  • Assist all staff in day-to-day needs, including making photocopies, scanning documents, processing digital documents, and creating forms/letters.
  • Ensure that the internal office décor is clean and organized for a welcoming environment.
