Student Nurse Tech - High-Risk Cardiology (PRN)
About The Position

Focus will be on¿high risk cardiology units where you will find many exciting challenges and opportunities for learning. Many of the patients that you will care for require advanced medication infusions and post cardiac procedure care. Our team consists of registered nurses, patient/student nurse technicians, and housestaff of residents, interns and other medical professionals.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an RN School of Nursing and have completed one (1) semester of a fundamental medical/surgical clinical
- This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health.

Responsibilities
- Assists nurse with patient and family education.
- Documents all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology.
- Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
- Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
- Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nursing team.
- Collects clinical data and information on patients and reports abnormal findings to the nurse.
- Instructs patients in preparations for tests and procedures.
