About The Position

This role is designed for nursing students who are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and want to apply classroom learning in a real-world healthcare setting. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) with one year or less until graduation
- Completion of a Med Surg clinical rotation and Fundamentals/ Foundations of Nursing
- Active BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- GPA of 3.0 or better with submission of transcript
- Two Letters of Recommendation (one from a clinical instructor)
- Letter of Intent
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with basic patient care under appropriate supervision
- Support patient safety, comfort, and daily care activities
- Observe and participate in clinical procedures as permitted by scope and training
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow Meritus policies and procedures
