About The Position

Responsible for general operational oversight of the unit under the direction of an A&P full time staff member, including, but not limited to: student scheduling and training; managing cash handling procedures and policies; enforcing health codes and policies; addressing problems and resolving conflicts between employees and/or customers, day to day supervision of other student employees, and independent decision making on shifts. Upholds a high level of professionalism and attention to friendly, accurate and prompt service; is expected to smile, greet and make eye contact at every customer interaction; ultimately responsible for providing an extraordinary dining and/or event experience. Assists with general cleaning and other duties as assigned. Considerable work, coursework, and/or leadership experience is necessary. Required to successfully complete a background check. Required to successfully complete department allergen training, knife skills training, food safety training, all current required Student Life and OSU financial training, along with protecting institutional data Training within first 30 days of employment. Additional Information: The location is Curl Hall. The starting rate for this position is $16.50 per hour. Federal Work Study Eligible jobs can be filled by a non-FWS student.
