About The Position

Supports assigned projects and strategic initiatives under supervision, applying academic knowledge to real-world challenges within a complex health system environment. Actively engages in day-to-day workflows, cross-functional meetings, and training sessions to build a comprehensive understanding of managed care operations, including contracting, revenue cycle, and payor performance. Collaborates with team members to contribute to project deliverables, conducts research and analysis to inform decision-making, and translates findings into clear, actionable insights. Provides regular updates on progress, identifies risks or barriers, and demonstrates accountability in meeting project timelines. Gains exposure to healthcare industry dynamics, payor-provider relationships, and operational processes while developing professional competencies in communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Fosters professional growth through mentorship, feedback, and hands-on experience, contributing meaningfully to team objectives while building a strong foundation for a career in healthcare administration.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a degree program in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare operations and professional communication
  • Willingness to learn and apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
