Reports to the food services supervisor or designee. Assists the cooks and cook helpers in preparation of student meals in compliance with government and management directives. Essential Functions: Perform clean‑up and sanitation duties in the food preparation, storage and dish room areas to ensure adequate health standards at all times. Provide adequate supply of food and transfer merchandise ingredients to cooking area as instructed by the cook or designee. Prepare vegetables, salads, meats, breads, and desserts as instructed or routinely set forth in an appetizing, eye-appealing manner. Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment. It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
