The opportunity Southern New Hampshire University is seeking enthusiastic and dependable student employees to join the Campus Recreation team as Fitness Center Attendants for summer. This position is ideal for students passionate about health and wellness and looking to make a positive impact on the SNHU community. Fitness Center Attendants play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all users of the Fitness Center. Responsibilities include overseeing daily facility operations, assisting patrons, and ensuring the space is clean, organized, and operating efficiently.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at SNHU
• Must have Work-Study eligibility as part of your financial aid package
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated

Nice To Haves

• CPR/AED Certification (training provided if not currently certified)
• Previous experience in a fitness or recreation environment

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all Fitness Center patrons
• Monitor facility usage and enforce policies to ensure patron safety
• Conduct fitness orientations and assist with general exercise questions
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of fitness equipment and spaces
• Track patron usage and assist with data entry and reporting
• Promote a positive and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff
• Support risk management procedures and emergency response protocols
