High Point University is currently seeking a full-time Student Experience Coordinator. The Student Experience Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the High Point University School of Optometry (HPUSO) by fostering student success and engagement throughout the program. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Student Experience (ADSE), the Coordinator assists with the admissions process, monitors student progression, and contributes to the continuous assessment of predictors of student success. The Coordinator also serves as a key resource to connect students with academic, professional, and personal support services within HPUSO and across the greater High Point University community. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Bachelor’s degree or significant experience in higher education, counseling, or related field Experience and Training: Prior experience in student services, admissions, academic advising, or related higher education setting. Experience working with various student populations. Knowledge, Skills, Ability: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty exceptionally. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Support the Associate Dean of Student Experience in the development and implementation of admissions processes, recruitment events, and candidate communications. Assist in tracking and analyzing student progression throughout the curriculum to help close the feedback loop on admissions predictors and student outcomes. Provide guidance and referral for students to appropriate university and community resources, ensuring timely access to academic, personal, and wellness support. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to strengthen student engagement and retention initiatives. Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions, outcomes, and follow-up. Help coordinate student-focused programming, events, and communications to foster a sense of community and belonging. Assist in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to student experience and success metrics. Represent HPUSO at admissions events, open houses, orientations, and other campus or community outreach activities. Support the ADSE in initiatives that promote belonging across all student experiences. Perform other related duties as assigned. ACCOUNTABILITY: Member of the School of Optometry Office of Student Experience Monitor the progression of students in the program to close the feedback loop on continuous assessment of predictors of student success Responsible for generating regular reports for the ADSE regarding activities MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS: Ability to multi-task: being able to alternate easily between entering information on the computer, conversing on the phone, and greeting a visitor.
