About The Position

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Admissions & Student Engagement Strategist Lead, the Student Engagement Strategist is responsible for developing a comprehensive communication strategy that inspires prospective transfer domestic and international students to engage with UNH . This position works closely with the Transfer and International Admissions teams to implement communication messaging and strategies to support enrollment goals. The strategist must have familiarity with Slate or other CRM system, and be a super-user of the system to lead content development, manage communications flow, deploy messages across various electronic channels, and establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. A degree in Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, English, or Journalism is also preferred.
  • 3-5 years of admissions or related experience working in a similar capacity within higher education
  • Demonstrated commitment and experience working with diverse populations (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team to achieve a common goal
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Excellent computer skills: CRM tools, MS Office, and other communication-related technologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills are required; must be able to utilize data for decision making
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Evening and weekend work required.
