About The Position

The Student Employee (Social Media Coordinator) elevates the UAMS CHP Genetic Counseling Training Program’s online presence by developing and sharing dynamic content on Instagram and Facebook. This role highlights student life, alumni and faculty achievements, and community engagement to attract prospective students and strengthen connections with alumni, faculty, and the broader community.

Requirements

  • Current student in the UAMS Genetic Counseling Training Program
  • Proficiency with Canva Pro and experience managing multiple social media platforms
  • Strong time-management skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Update program social platforms at least weekly to engage prospective students, alumni, faculty, and community members
  • Maintain the content-planning spreadsheet in Box and route posts for leadership approval before publishing
  • Brainstorm fresh content ideas and collaborate with faculty and students to showcase program activities and accomplishments
  • Organize and lead semesterly social media planning meetings with program leadership
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned.
