Position will provide individual and group counseling for a variety of personal, social, educational and vocational concerns; offer psychoeducational workshops, addressed to specific needs such as study skills, assertiveness training, stress management, and so forth; conduct client assessment of personal and vocational characteristics for the purpose of assisting client decision-making and problem solving; develop and present outreach programs; provide crisis intervention and management, including on-call rotation; provide student advocacy, particularly with reference to referrals to various community agencies or to other sections of the university; provide consultations to faculty and staff and other personnel inside and outside the University on student issues; fulfill administrative duties as assigned, including serving on Counseling Center, Division of Student Affairs or University-wide committees; provide some supervision and training of master’s level graduate practicum students and interns as assigned; participate in professional development experiences on a regular basis; and perform related duties as assigned.
