About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking to hire a team of individuals to oversee the campus Cupboard and Closet. These spaces exist to provide support for SNHU community members that don’t have consistent access to sufficient food and other basic needs. Duties and Responsibilities are unique for each role but include: Manage inventory; restock shelves, neaten supplies, assist with the pickup/delivery of donated food and supplies from local partners. Assist users of the Cupboard/Closet during their initial visit, providing an overview of basic guidelines. Impeccable customer service/peer support that incorporates important concepts/theories such as the cycle of poverty, the intersection of race and socio-economic status, and intercultural competencies. Participate in daily, weekly and monthly cleaning/sanitation procedures. Create flyers, social media posts, and other promotional materials for programs, campaigns, etc. Represent the Cupboard and Closet at outreach events, tabling opportunities and other sessions/presentations to create awareness of the Cupboard/Closet. Aid in the creation and dissemination of surveys and other data tracking tools that will allow us to hone services as needed. Aid in the development and organization of local, regional and national organizations that may also be of support to Cupboard/Closet users (during and after college).

Requirements

  • Current Enrollment in classes as part of a SNHU degree program
  • Work study part of financial aid package
  • Students with Federal Work Study may be prioritized
