About The Position

Summary: As the Student Athlete Dining Supervisor, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the UW Madison student athlete dining program, managing a dedicated team to ensure smooth event execution from setup to breakdown. Your role will ensure that all needs are met and the highest standards of service are maintained.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
• 1 year of leadership experience in food service or similar setting.
• Previous food service experience is required.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks.
• Strong personal hygiene and professional mannerisms.
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory to minimize waste and maintain high valuation.
• Supervise staff to ensure they are on task and quality standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized operation.
• Ensure signage is current and accurate.
• Collaborate with sport nutritionists, culinary staff, and other departments to provide optimal service and uphold the organization’s positive reputation.
• Report any malfunctions or repair needs affecting daily operations.
• Organize and coordinate transportation of food and equipment to alternative serving sites.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure continuous food availability throughout service.
• Uphold policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and client expectations.
• Log and maintain food temperatures to ensure safety standards.
• Delegate tasks to staff and provide leadership during service.
• Perform additional duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.
