Student Assistant, University Police Department
About The Position
Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant positions available in University Police. License / Certifications Valid CA Drivers License Start Date Positions available on or after April 20, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. Job Description/Duties Duties include but are not limited to: Assist with enforcing parking regulations on campus. Assist with greeting and answering inquiries from the campus community as they received. Assist with answering calls for services over the radio. Assist with data collections. Assist with parking and traffic control during on-campus events. Assist with all aspects of UPD outreach as needed (i.e. booths in Quad, etc.) Perform all other duties or project as assigned. Assist with locking up campus buildings. Operate a Shuttle cart to transport patrons. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

- Demonstrates ability to work until midnight on a few weekdays and if needed on weekends during the day.

- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
