About The Position

This position will support the USF Libraries Digital Initiatives unit in GIS related workflows, including but not limited to the scanning and georeferencing of historical maps, mosaicking of raster datasets, and spatial database construction. Possible projects may involve the development of a georeferenced map library from paper maps housed within the Libraries Special Collections. Duties will require the use of the ArcGIS Pro GIS Software, ArcGIS Online, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Special Collections supports scholarly research, enhances teaching, and preserves USF and Florida history through a series of deep University and community partnerships. We are home to over 500 archival collections and thousands of books, with a focus on our five primary collecting areas of University Archives, Florida Studies, LGBTQ+ History and Culture, Florida Environment and Natural History, and Children’s and Young Adult Literature. Requirements

• Current USF Student

Nice To Haves

• Experience using ArcGIS Pro and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
