About The Position

Reporting to the Studio Manager of the School of Design, Arts, and Communication ( SODAC ), the Student Assistant works collaboratively with a diverse team of student workers to develop a welcoming and supportive community within the SODAC . The Student Assistant in the SODAC provides service to students, faculty and staff through renting equipment and product troubleshooting as well as offers adequate support in the operation of the facilities. This position will work directly with the Studio Manager as well as full time and adjunct faculty in the SODAC .

Responsibilities

• Prepare lab forms
• Input rental reservations
• Clean and maintain working areas
• Assist faculty and students with equipment needs
• Record campus events
• Troubleshoot equipment and software problems
• Check equipment for proper working order, record broken/damaged equipment
