About The Position

A Student Analyst is a salaried professional who works under the supervision of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to assist in implementing behavior intervention plans, collecting and analyzing data, training other team members, and conducting assessments. This position provides valuable hands-on experience for individuals pursuing education and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) while offering stability and benefits of full-time employment.

Requirements

  • Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Currently enrolled in or planning to pursue undergraduate coursework in psychology, behavior analysis, education, or related field
  • Interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data
  • Basic understanding of statistical concepts
  • Proficiency with data management software and spreadsheets
  • Willingness to learn ABA principles and techniques
  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and teaching skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel between multiple locations
  • Must be a Registered Behavior Technician

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts
  • Collect and maintain data on client behaviors and progress during sessions
  • Work with patients using ABA techniques, including positive reinforcement, shaping, prompt fading, task analysis, antecedent interventions, extinction procedures, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and data collection skills in CentralReach
  • Ability to work with multiply clients and new clients
  • Ability to write SMART goals for clients based on their skill deficits
  • Ability to follow a client's written plan without direct training or supervision from the lead BCBA
  • Ability to train other RBTs on data collection, BIPs, skill acquisition goals, errorless learning, de-escalation techniques, replacement behavior, prompting, reinforcement strategies, etc.
  • Maintain at least 30 billable
  • Review and organize raw behavioral data from multiple sources
  • Create visual representations of data (graphs, charts) for progress monitoring
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in behavioral data
  • Assist in comparing current performance to baseline measures
  • Calculate basic statistical measures (percentages, rates, averages)
  • Prepare data summaries for clinical meetings and reports
  • Maintain accurate electronic data records
  • Make evidence-based recommendations for treatment modifications
  • Ensure data integrity and reliability through quality checks
  • Assist in developing data collection systems and tools
  • Generate regular progress reports for clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure goals are in the correct phase (baseline, treatment, maintenance)
  • Assist BCBAs in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs)
  • Administer standardized assessment tools under supervision
  • Collect baseline data for new clients
  • Document behavioral observations during assessment periods
  • Help prepare assessment materials and protocols
  • Conduct preference assessments to identify potential reinforcers
  • Assist in skill assessments including VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, or other assessment tools
  • Score assessment data as directed by supervising BCBA
  • Contribute to assessment reports by organizing data and observations
  • Participate in assessment review meetings with the clinical team
  • Provide peer-to-peer training to new RBTs on proper implementation of ABA techniques
  • Demonstrate correct data collection procedures and treatment protocols
  • Conduct shadowing opportunities for new staff members
  • Assist in developing training materials and resources for the RBT team
  • Provide constructive feedback to RBTs during and after training sessions
  • Help identify areas where additional training may be needed
  • Document training activities and monitor progress of trainee RBTs
  • Model appropriate professional behavior and ethical practices
  • Participate in train-the-trainer programs to enhance training skills
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings
  • Assist in preparing materials for therapy sessions
  • Document session notes and observations accurately
  • Support clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Maintain a positive and therapeutic relationship with clients
  • Follow ethical guidelines and maintain client confidentiality
  • Complete assigned coursework and training related to behavior analysis
  • Assist in quality assurance by monitoring fidelity of treatment implementation
