Under the supervision of Student Affairs professionals, the Student Affairs intern at Salem Community College will gain hands-on experience supporting student services, engagement initiatives, and administrative operations while developing professional competencies applicable to careers in higher education, public service, nonprofit organizations, and related fields. Learning Objectives By the conclusion of the internship, the student will be able to: Apply professional workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving within a higher education environment. Demonstrate technical and administrative competencies related to student services operations, including the use of office technology, data systems, and event coordination tools. Connect academic learning to career pathways by understanding the role of Student Affairs in supporting student success, equity, and engagement, and by articulating transferable skills relevant to future employment or continued education.
