About The Position

At Stratford Preparatory, we are growing and building the culture. We are seeking a Student Activities Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the Director of Enrichment & Summer on logistics and administrative details related to all student activities. The Enrichment Department manages non-academic aspects of school activities, including (but not limited to) after-school programs, school spirit, student government, and summer programs. In this role, you must comfortably wear many hats and embrace the opportunity to grow and expand your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, flexibility, and a genuine enthusiasm for improving the student experience to the school community. Working closely with other staff and leaders, this position will help create a positive, vibrant, and spirited student culture on campus.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field
  • Student teaching, tutoring, substitute teaching, or assistant teaching experience. Experience in a school setting is preferred
  • A demonstrated interest in pursuing a student experience-focused role for the long-term
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and colleagues.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to new ideas, events, and activities
  • A reflective, collaborative approach to learning in the role.
  • A commitment to inclusivity, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to Stratford Preparatory’s mission of whole-child development.
  • Possess a valid First Aid Card and CPR training within the last two years.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and logistics of after-school clubs
  • Customer service over the phone and email to families
  • External vendor relationships and communication
  • Middle School Student Council Program
  • High School ASB and Student Council Program
  • Purchasing and budgeting for clubs
  • Registration process and fee collection
  • Improvement of school culture and spirit through Spirit Week and Spirit Rally planning and facilitation
  • Marketing communications for club and summer programs
  • School events, i.e. Multicultural Week, Athletics Senior Nights
  • Coordination and management of on-campus events for clubs
  • Planning and facilitation of dances and other student social events
  • Frequent evening and weekend job responsibilities
  • Overnight/out-of-state travel/chaperoning of school trips
  • Chaperoning of school field trips
  • Driving students to and from events in a school van
