What does this role look like? The Product Center organization is seeking a hardworking, highly motivated Project Engineer Sr to be the Structures Product Lead. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education,
  • Demonstrated experience with project management or project engineering,
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and execution of events, tasks, or projects,
  • Demonstrated experience building key relationships across organizations internally and externally with industry partners to achieve organizational and program goals,
  • Previous Production, Operations, CAM, Proposal and/or IPT lead experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace Operations or Engineering experience,
  • Control Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management (EVM),
  • Experience with Customer interface,
  • Fluent use of SAP, VE CAMS, MS Project, MS Excel,
  • Knowledge of planning processes including critical paths analysis, risks, and Earned Value implementation from a planning perspective,
  • Ability to generate accurate and thorough estimates, proposals, and Basis of Estimates (BOE) documents using GenBOE tools and processes,
  • Experience with Collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, or SharePoint and knowledge of agile methodologies,
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous tasks as part of the daily program operations,
  • Demonstrated ability to get results from teams without direct authority,
  • Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution necessary to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations,
  • Knowledge of program lifecycle execution from concept phase through end-of-life phase,
  • Demonstrated teamwork,
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written skills to facilitate effective and efficient technical and business interchanges with senior customer and management,
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI

Responsibilities

  • Develop Product Strategy aligned with Mission Roadmaps for Spacecraft BUS structures.
  • Drive the Structure Product Strategy with the LOBs in the execution of cost, schedule and technical from capture to production.
  • Be the bridge between Program Management Office & Production Operations.
  • Build and Maintain Product Catalogue.
  • Manage Product improvement/optimization projects.
  • Positively influence product sourcing and Make/Buy strategies to reduce NRE (non-reoccurring engineering).
  • Coordinate and resolve unplanned challenges and drive issue resolution velocity among the MFO’s.
  • Move with a sense of urgency and drive the successful business execution from early capture phases to production start.
  • Track and Benchmark Structure Products and support Market Assessments .
  • Tactical leadership and cross-functional coordination ensuring support and engagement from MFO’s .
  • Drive Advanced List of Materials (ALMs) and Advanced Product Structure (APS) and ensures valid need dates through release and demand load.
  • Provide Proposal Support and BOE inputs to drive commonality and alignment with product strategy.
