DRMP is looking for an experienced PE to lead a talented group of structures engineers in our Tampa office. This individual will be responsible for managing workloads, coordinating with other regional group leaders, marketing clients and mentoring junior staff to support primarily transportation-related structures design projects. Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer and/or Structural Engineer
  • 10+ years post registration of relevant progressive structures design experience including transportation related projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of DOT design standards and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.

Responsibilities

  • Management of staff in the Tampa Structures Group.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members along their career path.
  • Serve as Structures Project Manager, Engineer of Record, or Design Lead on multi-disciplined transportation projects using both conventional and alternative delivery methods.
  • Direct planning, design and production of structural calculations, written reports, engineering drawings, and specifications for projects related to bridge and transportation structures.
  • Collaborate with clients, subconsultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
  • Lead marketing efforts for bridge and transportation structures project pursuits including FDOT Letters of Response, Presentations and Technical Interviews
  • Help build relationships with key staff of clients, potential clients, teaming partners and contractors.
