What You'll Do as a Group Leader: Direct and manage resources of the group Ensure quality product development Track and encourages training and development of the group Mentor discipline staff and develop future leaders Identify recruiting needs and participate in acquiring new hires Cultivate the PGA culture Industry engagement to promote PGA reputation where appropriate Lead and/or guide project management marketing efforts where appropriate Reports to Directors/Executive Leadership on the performance of the group

Requirements

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE)
  • 10+ years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent from an ABET Accredited University, majoring in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Excellent verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clients and colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and assign work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently at the direction of PGA’s Leadership Team
  • Leadership qualities in all aspects while continuing to produce at a high level

Responsibilities

  • Maintain responsible charge over multiple structures projects
  • Lead marketing efforts for the structures discipline (preparation of Letter of Response and other Technical Proposals)
  • Manage structures projects and direct structures group resources to produce a quality product
  • Provide quality control reviews when necessary
  • Provide mentorship in the structures mentoring program
  • Ability to lead internal training programs
  • Assist in strategic planning for the future growth of the PGA structures group
  • Requires no technical supervision
  • Capable of serving the responsible charge role for miscellaneous structures, bridge design and rehabilitation
  • Complete tasks and projects within established supervisor’s expectations
  • Direct and manage resources of the group
  • Ensure quality product development
  • Track and encourages training and development of the group
  • Mentor discipline staff and develop future leaders
