Our Restoration & Renewal practice provides owners and managers with a home for solutions to a wide range of structural, envelope, and building systems needs for existing properties of every use, age, and construction type. Our multidisciplinary design and assessment services cover a wide range of needs. We perform condition assessments, investigations, feasibility studies, and peer reviews. We design repairs, renovations, and alterations and oversee their execution in the field. The Role As a Vice President in our Restoration & Renewal Practice, you will lead teams in delivering complex design and restoration projects. Your primary responsibility will be to win and deliver new work by building strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients. You’ll serve as a technical leader and mentor to engineers and senior engineers, guiding them through all phases of project delivery.

Requirements

  • Degree (Master’s preferred) in Architecture, Architectural Engineering or Engineering.
  • Building envelope background with experience in façade assessments, construction documents, and field/construction phase services.
  • Professional license required.
  • Field experience with diverse building types preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of conservation or preservation techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of engineering projects—from planning and coordination to design, documentation, and completion.
  • Supervise and mentor engineers, modelers, and other team members; oversee preparation of drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.
  • Partner and communicate with clients to understand project goals, present findings, and strengthen relationships that drive new business.
  • Perform and oversee assessments of building envelope systems, including testing protocols, condition assessments, and peer reviews of architectural designs.
  • Analyze building codes, industry standards, and provide order-of-magnitude cost estimates.
  • Oversee construction phase services, ensuring quality, technical accuracy, and adherence to design intent.
  • Prepare investigative and technical reports, support forensic findings, and contribute to presentations and client deliverables.
  • Track project financials and support regional growth through business development and client engagement.
