About The Position

Are you a highly skilled mechanic ready to take your aviation career to next level? Join our team! As a Structural Technician IV, you will oversee the most complex and critical assembly operations. This role involves providing expert technical support, leading large-scale projects, and ensuring the integration of best practices in all assembly processes. You will act as a key liaison between the production floor and engineering management, driving continuous improvement and innovation. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Mastery in blueprint reading and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch.
  • Advanced experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable.
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks.
  • Must have own tools in good working order.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in aerospace manufacturing or related discipline.
  • Advanced certifications in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale assembly projects.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

  • Act as a key liaison between the production floor and engineering management.

  • Conduct advanced inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Develop and implement training programs for team members.
  • Ensure optimal maintenance and calibration of all tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to enhance overall manufacturing processes.
