About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Packaging Engineer
specializing in folding carton design to join our production and design team.
The ideal candidate will engineer precise, innovative, and cost-effective
packaging structures that balance functionality, aesthetics, and
manufacturability.

This role requires strong technical understanding of folding carton construction
and materials, as well as proficiency with structural design software. The
engineer will collaborate closely with sales, graphics, and production
departments to deliver packaging solutions that meet both client and
manufacturing requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Industrial Design, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in folding carton structural design or packaging engineering
• Proficiency with ArtiosCAD, Impact, or other packaging CAD tools
• Strong understanding of paperboard grades, finishing, and converting processes
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and project management abilities
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment (24-hour turnaround on product)
• Aptitude for mechanical operation
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
• Excellent attendance and punctuality - accurately record work time on a daily basis

Responsibilities

• Design and develop folding carton structures using ArtiosCAD or equivalent CAD software.
• Create detailed die-lines, prototypes, and mockups for review and production.
• Ensure designs are optimized for printing, die-cutting, gluing, and assembly processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve production efficiency and reduce material waste.
